Initially we’ll have a face to face meeting (or Skype chat) to discuss your requirements and get to know a bit about you and your business or project. We will ask you a few key questions to help us determine what your priorities are and what you want people visiting your website to actually do.
From that meeting we will prepare a quotation. The price will depend on how much of the content you can provide us with. For example, if you are upgrading from a previous website, you may already have a lot of text and images that we can use.
If you are happy with the quotation, we will draw up an Agreement to define the project clearly and make sure we are all happy with who is doing what. We ask for a 50% deposit when we start work (fully refundable if we fail to deliver) and the remaining 50% at the end when you have signed off the project.
The Agreement will outline your responsibilities in terms of what you need to provide (eg, photos, graphics, text, etc), technical access to third party sites (eg your web hosting account, mailchimp, etc) and when we need that information by. The Agreement will also specify a design review deadline and a completion deadline which keeps us all on track and makes sure the project doesn’t drift away.
